Iboih Snorkelling, Sabang.

I don't know how things really work but this is how my snorkelling went.
I told the driver that i wanted to snorkel. I'm pretty sure there's only one spot (IBOIH) to snorkel from if you don't stay at the hotel with their own services.
Arriving at Iboih doesn't mean that you can immediately snorkel. You have to find a shop with snorkelling or diving services and choose according to your needs. They sell many kinds of boats, equipment, and services. As for me, we rented a boat with underwater view as my mom didn't wanna snorkel but she wanna have a sight of the fishes too. I forced my dad to snorkel with me so there he was. Our guide told us that we will be travelling to four different locations.
First one will be a shallow beach with lots of fishes and for my dad who never snorkel before, will get his essential lessons. And a place to wash your googles too. I didn't buy. I rented them. Gross i know but it's way cheaper and i just don't wanna buy it.

Secondly, to a place where they put miniature of the landmarks on the Island.

Next on, corals with two tiny nemo and a hidden nemo which i couldn't see but my dad insisted it's there.

Last but not least,
Coral fantasy

Why got cabbage here hahahahaha

Initially i would like to go for the diving certificate, later that i know, it requires you to stay there for 5 days as you will have one boring day studying theoritically and another 3 happy diving days. Well, we couldn't extend our trip in Sabang as we had booked our hotel back in Banda Aceh and flight back to Medan.

However, i met a very nice guide who was kind enough to let me dive in for better quality pictures. Sadly i forgot his name or i don't even know his name at the first place.
First impression: it's freaking cheap. Rental boat for half day, snorkelling equipments, guide fee, underwater camera cost only like $100.
I reached there around 2pm. Frankly speaking, i thought that 4 hours may not be enough for me to snorkel around. Fact is i gave up on 2 hrs and 30 mins. My ears hurt for the sake of good view and pictures. The guide was so excited cause i almost said yes to everything that he asked me to do. Except to dive in without googles. I cannot.
Anyway, I'm not sure why but most probably because the island need to do their nightly-muslim-prayer, no boat should come back later than 5.30pm.

Also, no bikinis allowed in the whole Weh Island. HAHAHAHAHA.

Fun fact is the water could be hot or cold. Its like half hot and half cold. The more you swim in, the hotter the water and the clearer the view are. Just like this

Around 50cm near to the corals.

And please just excuse my weird poses. It was not easy for me to balance underwater as my stupid fin kept wanting to float.

Feeding fishes.
One thing that i pity the most is.. they use instant noodle to feed the fishes. It was just morally wrong from my pov but its common then please ignore me. Wtf

PATRICK STAR!!!!

Thats the fin floating..

Thats me and my bestfriends hahahahaha

There there! the guy at the back. He was so kind enough to bear with me for 2.5 hrs. My dad did snorkel too but he gave up after 1 hr.

It was the most enjoyable moments in my life and a very pleasant experience indeed. Next on head is adrenaline triggering rides over goldcoast or diving certificate.
Till next time,
F.r.l did snorkelling in Sabang.
